ReplyDeleteWhy do you like Christmas music if you don't believe in God? :)
ReplyDeleteYou're such a troublemaker.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas songs are:
Silver Bells
The Christmas Song
White Christmas
Greensleeves/What Child is This?
Notice they're all fairly secular in nature. That doesn't mean I don't listen to more religious Christmas music (I do have some MOTAB, for example), though. In any case, I thought a lot about whether or not to celebrate Christmas when I...um..."re-evaluated" my beliefs, and decided it made no sense to discard my favorite holiday simply because I was no longer a believer. After all, the roots of the Christmas celebration (date, trees, etc.) aren't Christian in nature anyway.
To me, Christmas is about peace, love, friendship, giving and lots of other good things--all positive things. You don't have to be Christian to appreciate the positivity of the season. Christmas, for me, is also about good memories--family, lights, special gifts, dreams that came true, etc. Christmas music is often a walk down memory lane.
I'm so happy you enjoyed being tagged.
