no more bare walls

We've been living in our townhome for over three years now, and other than a traditional Samoan cloth that Becca had framed and hung in our dining room (and which I, incidentally, really dislike), we've had nothing on our walls--no artwork, no paint, nothing. I've been too busy with other things to think about it, so I haven't really cared. As I'm sure the rest of you have noticed, the worsening economy has meant more coupons are available, and we've gotten some great coupons for custom framing at Michael's. So, I decided to have a few things framed for my home office:

An abstract original painting by one of my high school classmates, Maria Trakovsky. As I wrote a few weeks ago, this is the first original work of art I've purchased, and I'm very excited about it:

The album cover to one of my favorite CDs of 2008, The Dillinger Escape Plan's "Ire Works":

I ordered a special edition of a concert DVD that one of my favorite bands, Opeth, recently put out. It came with these cool postcards, so I decided to have them framed:

Kind of an eclectic mix of artwork for one room, but I figured it would be better to just put up things that I really like instead of coming up with a consistent theme. I wish I had more room in my office to hang stuff up, but my CD racks cover most of the wall space. I guess I'll have to move on to another room to do further decorating.
