The little lady and I were trying to find the local botanical gardens this morning. Neither of us bothered to get directions before we left the hotel, but we each had an assumption about where they were. We (I) decided to follow my assumption and head up the street on which the hotel was located.
When we got to the top of the street, we quickly realized that it was a dead end, and that there were no gardens to be found. The ol' ball and chain was pretty irritated that we had gone the wrong way, but rather than admit defeat, I just told her to calm down, since we had plenty of time and needed the exercise anyway. Right after we turned around, I slipped on the wet sidewalk and fell down. I ended up with a sore, bloody knee.
Becca had slipped and fallen in the shower earlier in the morning. She says she's going to have a nice, big bruise on her rear. Maybe we both need to humble ourselves.
