the moon - one more try

I like this one even better than the ones I posted the other day. The change in moon phase and the clear sky really helped. Click on it to see it full size.

Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L lens, 400mm, f/14, 1/13 sec, ISO 100

  1. Yeah, that looks really good. Have you ever thought about picking up the 1.4 or 2x teleconverter for that lens? That would be intense... haha.

  2. Never seriously considered it because it would make this particular lens even slower, and that's where I would want to use it most. The extra magnification would awesome, though. Maybe what I really need is Canon's 800mm prime...

Speaking of magnification, I just ordered the 100mm f/2.8L macro lens. Should have it later this week. I'm way excited about it.

  3. Yeah, that lens is supposed to be incredible. I've seriously considered picking it up a few times, but I have the original version, so there are other lenses I'm more interested in. The local camera store should have 5D mk II's in stock today so I'm looking at heading to their store in Draper to grab on.

  4. Very nice. I'll be jealous of the full frame if you get it. More and more, I wish I had that for wide angle purposes. I'm otherwise really happy with the 7D, though.
