I don't consider myself a fan of The Black Dahlia Murder, but their new video is pretty dang cool. The name of the song is "Necropolis", and while the video totally doesn't fit the song title (or likely the incomprehensible lyrics, either), it's nice to see a metal band not taking themselves so seriously.
Watch for the solo--it's awesome, even if played on a totally lame pink guitar. Enjoy!

Yeah, these guys are really funny. Totally insane. Have you seen their video for Miasma?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that pink guitar is an Ibanez RG550. My old guitar teacher played one and it was amazing. I was after one for a long time... One of the original models from the 80's. They're made in Japan as opposed to the new models which I believe are made in Korea or something.
I checked out the "Miasma" video--also entertaining and fairly incomprehensible, kind of like this one. I'll take it. By now, I'm pretty tired of metal bands trying to look scary and evil. In many ways, that looks sillier than wearing bowling shirts and performing in an alley.
