spring storms

We've had a lot of rain over the last week. Earlier this evening, we had a little less than an hour of sunshine before we got hammered again, so I decided to head out with my trusty DSLR to capture the event.

Things were clearer to the east. It was only this sunny for about five minutes.

It's that time of year for the geese. Here's a new family.


I crossed the highway at the south side of the neighborhood to take photos of a cloudburst to the southwest. This area is a corn field during the summer, but it's barren right now.




The clouds in those last two photos look pretty ominous, no? They were moving a lot faster than I suspected, and I ended up getting soaked as I tried to make my way home. I started running when the rain began, but I was wearing sandals and was no match for the storm. At least some of the photos turned out decent.
