My youngest brother and I decided to end all the talk and get into the pool yesterday morning. I estimated that the water was about 40F, so it was painfully cold. Getting out of the pool felt more comfortable than getting into it. That said, we had fun for the 15 minutes or so that we were in the pool, and my dad even joined us for a while, despite having repeatedly stating that there was no way he was going to get into water that cold.
The slide worked great, and the rock setup was great for diving and big cannonballs. This pool is going to rock when the water is a bit warmer.

In the evening, my nephews wanted to have a fire in the fire pit, so grandpa gladly obliged. There's a gas line in the pit, so there's no wood mess or anything else to worry about. Pretty cool.
