evening commute

I ended up not getting out of the office until 8pm on Monday night, and being as late as I was, I called the little lady and asked her to meet me near a happenin' part of town just a couple blocks away from where we live. At the same time, I took out my camera so that I could document all the action that is my evening commute, since I thought you might find it interesting to see.



A ubiquitous sight in China:

Nightlife in the Lion's Bridge area is very happenin'. Lots of restaurants, shops and the like, and no cars are permitted:






We haven't been able to figure out when exactly they turn on the lights in this tunnel, but we lucked out that evening and they were on. I pass under this when I walk to or from work.

I frequently stop at places like this to pick up a soda or snack on the way home. Green apple and peach Fanta are my favorite soda flavors here.
